         join[죠인]: 가입하다   activity[엑티버티]: 활동   

participate[파티써페잍]: 참석하다 with the intention-:-의 목적으로
         활동, 클럽, 기타 (etc.)에 가입이나 참가할 목적으로 가입하다. 

I signed up for Pilates classes. 나는 필라테스 수업 신청했어.
